Ummmmm Hello?

Ok so me, ray, mom and logan were driving along today heading to the doctor in one lane. We were getting ready to pass a woman in the other lane when she began to drift over into our lane. Realizing this she quickly moved back into her lane. As we passed we saw her wrestling with a cigarette package trying to get one out so she can light it.

I think that people need to start being a little bit more mindful when they are driving on the roads, because everyone’s life is at stake. Distractions are causing too many wrecks and deaths when all you have to do is not text, talk on the phone, put on your make-up, comb your hair, play with your radio or wrestle with your cigarette package. Those things can wait. Now granted, in the past I have been guilty of some of those things, but I have gotten better about not doing any of these things. On the other hand I do believe that some people are better are multitasking then others.

What makes me upset is the lack of compassion for others on the road. We honked at that woman and she was oblivious to that fact because she was too busy trying to get her damn cigarette out of the pack. Now, if she wants to slowly kill herself with lung cancer that is fine because that is her choice, but what I don’t like is the fact that this woman was so inconsiderate to other people on the road. If she had hit us, hard telling what would have happened and with having my 10 week old son in the car, that woman would have saw the ass end of a hissy fit from me and heaven forbid something bad actually happen to anyone in that car. This woman could have killed everyone in the car just because she couldn’t wait until the next stop light to get out her cigarette. Drivers these days are getting ridiculous. If it isn’t the teenager’s texting or hot roding then it is old people who can barely walk, let alone drive. I believe that once you hit a certain age (60) you should have to take your test again. Also the driving age should be raised from 16 to 21. I know many will be opposed (especially the teenagers) but you figure a car can be a deadly weapon if not handled right. Kids can be 16 to get a license, but has to be 18 to buy cigarettes and 21 to vote and drink. The laws should change on this. So if the laws were to change I think all 3 things should have to wait until they are 21.

In conclusion….if something happens to my son or family because some dumb bitch who can’t drive and wants to kill herself with cancer hits us, she better hope she takes me out too cuz if not…its eye for an eye.
